April 2019 Pastel Skies
It's funny how getting film developed can transport you to a different time. This time is almost 5 years old, standing at a lookout at near dusk. I remember this shoot. I remember wanting desperately to capture the moon, and being certain that I would fail. One, because I have no idea about sky photography, and two, because I was using a large telephoto lens, without a tripod, on my dad's old Nikon film camera, and the lens was heavy as all fuck. My arms got a work out that day, and if wasn't for my stubborn determination I would definitely have given up, and found something else to shoot using a lighter lens. The arm work out was worth it though. Even though it took almost five years of the undeveloped film sitting half forgotten on a shelf. For this shoot I used expired Fujifilm Superia 400, and I'm glad I did. I love the washed out pastels and how all the blacks have a green hue. My film choice is almost always random, and I'm grateful I ended up with this one
